As Christians, we still go through downpours in our lives. We will still get hurt, broken, depressed, filled with anxiety and so on. Take Jesus for an example. He hung there on that cross being beaten and tortured ruthlessly for hours upon hours. It stands out to me that even then He is still faithful to His Father, and didn’t turn away from Him even though it probably felt like His Father turned His back on Him. Jesus did not fight back but rather He turned His cheek the other way. Some of His last words were, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” He prayed for His enemies. What I am trying to say is this. Don’t let anxiety, depression, stress, hurt or anything in that general area discourage you. Don’t go thinking God has turned away from you when the times are tough. He is watching over you. Remain faithful to the Lord and He will reward you. There is hope, love, freedom, and breakthrough in the mighty name of Jesus Christ! Stand strong in our Lord and wait patiently.
